Lumira (“we”, “us”) is an independent app that gives you personalized astrology guidance. We care about your privacy and built Lumira to keep your data on your device wherever possible. This policy explains what we collect, how it is used, and your choices.
We do not sell your data, show third-party ads, or use analytics/advertising trackers. We do not maintain a user database of your readings.
We use your information solely to calculate your birth chart and to generate your personalized horoscopes, tarot readings, compatibility, transits and other guidance inside the app.
To write your readings, Lumira sends the minimum necessary information — such as your chart summary (e.g. your Sun, Moon and Rising signs), your question text, and, only if you use face reading, your photo — to OpenAI through our secure proxy hosted on Cloudflare. OpenAI processes this to return your reading. Under OpenAI’s API terms, this data is not used to train their models and is retained only briefly for abuse monitoring. We do not store your photos, questions or readings on our servers.
Other providers we rely on:
Your birth details and profile are stored locally on your device. Deleting the app removes this local data. Because most data stays on your device, the simplest way to delete your information is to delete the app.
Lumira offers auto-renewing subscriptions billed through your Apple ID. Apple manages your purchase and payment information; we receive only whether your subscription is active. You can manage or cancel anytime in your App Store account settings.
Lumira is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Depending on where you live (including the EU/UK under GDPR and California under the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your data, or object to processing. Since your data lives mainly on your device, you can exercise most of these rights by deleting the app. For anything else, contact us at the email below.
We use reasonable technical measures to protect data in transit (encrypted HTTPS) and keep API keys on the server, never in the app. No method of transmission is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above when we do.
